Brenda was born in Singapore but has lived in Kuala Lumpur for over 15 years. She started her teaching career in 2004 in a preschool in Kuala Lumpur and has taught nursery and kindergarten classes. She was also the Head of Centre at a kindergarten for 15 years. She has a Diploma in the Montessori Method of Education and is trained in Fitzroy Phonics Programme from Australia.
She feels that teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs that anyone can have. She firmly believes that a safe, warm, secure and nurturing environment can make a big difference in children’s lives, helping to bring out the best of every child and allowing them to achieve their potential. She is passionate about providing a fun yet challenging learning environment where children can be engaged in activities that have been tailored to their needs and interests.
As an educator and a mother of two kids, she truly believes that learning is a lifelong process and education is the first step for people to gain the knowledge, critical thinking, empowerment and skills they need to make the world a better place. Brenda is excited to further her teaching career and is looking forward to developing both personally and professionally. She loves travelling and enjoys beach holidays. She has a keen interest in keeping fit.
