We are back to online classes, once again. It is somewhat familiar but this time, your child is responding differently and you feel that online classes are no longer serving its purpose and cannot replace face-to-face classes.
What can you do to encourage your learner to be independent?
How do you maintain a harmonious relationship with your child while online classes are ongoing?
In order to support your role as your learners’ online educator, our Director Teacher Aileen and Head of Kinder Champ Department, Teacher Ally, will be conducting a sharing session for parents/ guardians.
The objectives of the session are to equip the parents/ guardians with useful skills on how to make online learning effective and harmonious for the children. We will also be including feedback from and challenges faced by the teachers in the online session.
The session will include the following matters:
– Understanding the roles and responsibilities of a guide;
– Drawing boundaries for the learner during online learning at home;
– Encouraging your learner to be an independent learner;
– Supporting your learner in any other matters during this period.
We strongly encourage for all teachers, and parents/ guardians to join this session. If you have friends and educators from other kindergartens/ centres/ schools whom you think may find this session useful, please feel free to invite them along.
