In our previous article, we talked about the benefits of voice-over acting for children. One of the important points is to boost confidence in children.
Why is confidence important for children to grow healthily inside and out?
Confidence sparks self-esteem in children. This is vital especially the early years where they learn to love and value themselves, thus creating a positive outlook each day of their lives. Tons of research have found that children with high self-esteem tend to be successful in life.
Develop Growth Mindset
When children feel good about themselves and believe in their abilities, they are more likely to be ready to take on new challenges, cope with and learn from mistakes. When they accept that making mistakes is part of learning, they will start developing resilience.
Expand Emotional Vocabulary
Children who are confident tend to be able to freely express their thoughts and opinions, given the right environment. This is healthy because by giving them a voice, they can creatively convey their emotions- they will learn to respond to themselves and others better!
With the increase in self-esteem, developing growth mindset and expansion of emotional vocabulary, our children may be more willing to explore beyond the circle of their comfort zone.
